The drivetrain for this project is still up in the air. We have the LG4 engine and the 5-speed transmission from the 86. The motor is in fairly good shape we think. The cylinder walls are pretty clean and should only require a honing. It's pretty gunked up, so until it's completely broken down we won't know for sure what kind of shape it's in.

We're keeping an eye open for a 350 if we can find one for a reasonable price. Regardless of which engine is chosen, the 5-speed will definitely be re-used. The 88 shell came with a rearend, mostly just so it could be moved, but we're unsure what it is. Once it's removed we'll know more about it.
